This broke my heart in a number of ways. And just a word of caution: it might also smash yours in half.
Having said that, please make sure you share this with everyone you know who owns a pet as well as the general public, for example on Facebook.
It is an important read, and I sincerely hope that we can work together to help everyone become more aware of this.
Our pets are very important to us. We are here for them and will shower them with affection, tender loving care, lots of cuddles, and treats. But as it turns out, there is one crucial period when we are just not there for them. when it is their time to depart this life.
It all started when pet owner and regular veterinary patron Jessi Dietrich asked her cat’s vet what the toughest part of his job was.
“Asked my vet what the hardest part was about his job and he said when he has to put an animal down, 90 percent of owners don’t actually want to be in the room when he injects them,” she tweeted, adding: “So the animal’s last moments are usually them frantically looking around for their owners, and to be honest, that broke me.”
The veterinarian’s response to Jessi broke her heart, and she made the decision to tell everyone she knew about it in an effort to attempt to alter things.
Many more vets came out and expressed the same, heartbreaking insight after Jessi’s tweet went viral.
Then, thousands of people started sharing the Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital employee’s below Facebook post.
This is a straightforward fact that I believe we might all use to our advantage. If everyone did this, I’m confident that fewer animals would pass away heartbroken and alone, frantically searching for their devoted owner and best friend.
Check out the additional video below if you’re still unsure about how much your pet loves you. It may cause you to reconsider.
Please spread the word about this crucial information; you never know who might be unaware.
If more people were aware of how sad and difficult this time may be for our pets, I’m confident that they would choose to endure it with them and share in their final, priceless moments on earth before entering animal heaven.
