Singer Aaron Carter found dead aged 34

Aaron Carter, singer and brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, has died aged 34, his representative has confirmed.

The US musician opened for the US boy band on a number of tours and concerts, and also had a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums while he was still a child.

According to initial reports, TMZ reports that the singer, who now raps, was found dead in his California home on Saturday, November 5. TMZ further alleges that Aaron’s body was discovered in his bathtub.

They said: “We’re just as upset as everybody and hope that fans can give their thoughts and prayers to his family.”

Los Angeles County Police Department also confirmed that officers attended Carter’s residence at 4200 LA Vista Drive in Lancaster, California, on Saturday, and found someone dead.

While on the show The Doctors in 2019, he revealed that he was manic depressive and had been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, and acute anxiety.

“The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety and manic depression,” Carter, 31, says in a sneak peek video obtained by TMZ, before rattling off a variety of pills he takes. “I’m prescribed to Xanax, Seroquel, Gabapentin, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone, Omeprazen.”

Nick Carter has finally broken his silence

My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….I love you baby brother.
