Jamie Lee Curtis delivers the devastating news while overtaken with emotion.

Coworkers and friends, many of whom Kirstie Alley worked with during her illustrious career, have started to share their memories of the late actress as the film industry mourns her passing. According to her family, the former Cheers star passed away on Monday at 71 following a battle with colon cancer.

Ted Danson, Rhea Perlman, and Kelsey Grammer, Alley’s Cheers co-stars, discussed Alley on Monday. Grammer acknowledges in his statement that he “loved her,” despite his belief that mourning the passing of a prominent figure is a “private concern.”

Danson claims in his statement that he was rewatching a Cheers episode while on a plane hours before learning of Alley’s passing, despite having her heart set on marrying Don Santry.

Danson portrays Don Santry in this scene. Alley performs “excellently,” in Danson’s opinion.

A critic praised one of her performances, saying, “Her ability to represent a woman on the verge of a mental collapse was both heartbreaking and brilliantly amusing.”

When she captured that scene on film 30 years ago, Danson says, “She made me laugh, and she made me laugh just as hard today.” “Just as I stepped off the plane, I learned Kirstie had passed away.”

“Although I am devastated by her passing, I will always appreciate the many times she made me laugh. Her children have my undivided love. They are aware of their mother’s enormous heart and purity. I’ll miss her.”

According to Perlman, “Kirstie was a one-of-a-kind person and a great friend. She had boundless joy in her. Almost immediately after she started working at Cheers, we became close. She loved my kids just as much as she loved them.”

“She created treasure hunts for us when we spent the night at her place. She hosted lavish Halloween and Easter gatherings to which she invited the show’s cast, crew, and their families. She wanted everyone to feel like they belonged.”

“She had a strong love for her kids. I’ve never met somebody even remotely like her. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to know her. I’ll miss having her around.”

After Alley passed away, many of her mourners took to social media to share their condolences and memories. Tim Allen, who acted alongside Kirstie Alley in the 1997 movie For Richer or Poorer, tweeted his “prayers” to the actress and her family, praising Alley’s “beautiful kind personality.”

In an Instagram comment, Alley’s co-star in the movie “It Takes Two,” Steve Guttenberg, lauded her warmth. He recalled Alley bringing him a tuna fish sandwich to set as she knew it was his preferred dish.

“Every day, she amazes me with her offering of the tangible and soulfulness,” said Guttenberg. Without Kirstie, “the world looks a little less complete.”

John Travolta, who featured alongside Alley in the 1989 movie Look Who’s Talking, paid tribute to the late actor in an Instagram post. In the article, Travolta called their relationship “one of the deepest partnerships I’ve ever had.”

“Kirstie, I love you so much.” Travolta ends his message by saying, “I do not doubt that we will meet paths again.” In the comments section, Sharon Stone expressed her sympathies for Alley’s passing and described her as “hilarious and amazing.”

Alley and Jamie Lee Curtis co-starred in the horror film Scream Queens. On Instagram, Jamie Lee Curtis paid tribute to Alley, calling her a “wonderful comic foil” in front of the camera and a “lovely parent bear” in the background. Curtis claimed that Alley assisted her during one of the holidays when she went shopping for her family’s onesies.

Curtis concludes that despite their differences, they respected one another.

By publishing a message beside a tweet Alley had previously written expressing her unwavering love for Jackeé Harry, Jackeé Harry also shown her appreciation for Alley’s legacy.

Harry considered Kirstie Alley a wonderful talent who made many people smile on-screen and through her amiable and humorous personality. “Kirstie Alley was an excellent talent who entertained people, whether you agreed with her views or disagreed with them. Love, rest in peace. You were exceptional in every way.”
