Her legs are amputated after using a common household product – Now she’s warning women everywhere

Californian model Lauren Wasser lost her right leg in 2012 for the strangest explanation I’ve ever heard.

Most people find it difficult to comprehend how a hygiene item could trigger a nightmare and alter your life forever. Lauren’s nightmare is still going strong. Her second leg had to just be amputated by physicians.

Lauren is now informing other women about the risks of a common product because she is determined that no other woman should go through what she has.

Model from California Lauren Wasser visited the hospital in 2012 after experiencing flu-like symptoms. It turned out that she had toxic shock syndrome, a condition brought on by bacterial toxins, rather than the flu.the infection’s origin? the tampon.

Tampon use, particularly if they are left in for a long time, can result in toxic shock syndrome, often known as TTS.

Lauren was in a coma for more than a week following the TTS, and when she awoke, doctors had to amputate a limb due to infection. Aged 24, she was.

Since that day, Lauren has only had one life objective: to make sure that no one else ever experiences what she has.

“In a few months, I’m inevitably going to have my other leg amputated. There’s nothing I can do about it. But what I can do is help make sure that this doesn’t happen to others,” Lauren explained.

Kotex Natural Balance, the manufacturer of the tampons that gave Lauren such a terrible reaction, is facing a challenging legal battle from Lauren.

“Considering that the vagina is the most absorbent part of a woman’s body and is a gateway to many of our vital organs, it is crucial that consumers know the reality of what could happen to them,” Lauren remarks.

Lauren recently had to have her other leg amputated, which is unfortunate. The paralympic athlete Amy Purdy, who also had her legs amputated, was in the shot that the model uploaded on her social media sites as soon as she emerged from the operation room. She penned the following caption:

Life is about to be so different, again! I’m in great spirits though and ready for my next chapter. ???‍♀️??‍♂️ // photo by my love @camraface“

I have nothing but admiration for this brave girl. Keep battling with courage and hope. Lauren is still fighting, not just for herself but also for others, so that they won’t have to experience what she did.

Please share Lauren’s story so that all women are aware of the potential dangers of tampons.
